You're new to proboards and you don't know how to post? Here's an easy way. Find a topic you want to post in and then scroll to the very bottom of the page and you'll see: Quick Reply Message: Post Reply Just type your reply in the space provided and click Post Reply, but if you want to customize your text, then look at the last persons reply and at the bottom of that, should be a button saying Reply. How do you customize your text?To make font italic use To make font bold use To make font underlined use To make font centered use To change the size of the font use To change the color of the text Those are the most often used customizations. You always have to place the text you want to be changed in between the brackets.

You would like to change/delete your post and you don't know how?
Go to the post you want to edit and you'll see, on the upper right corner, the following:
QUOTE --- MODIFY --- DELETE
Use quote when you want to quote something/somebody Use modify when you want to change your post (you can only modify your own post unless you are a moderator) Use delete when you want to delete the post (also, you can only delete your post)

How to post a picture within a threadI've heard this question many times so I thought I should give an explanation. First you need to upload your picture on the internet (tinypic.com, photobucket.com, imageshack.com...). When you have it uploaded you need to place the url of the picture between these: And that's basically all

About private messagesThere is such thing as private message (in short PM) on every forum. You can have a private conversation via PMs. How to go to your inbox? First go to the main forum page (example: www.alterprecious.proboards61.com/index.cgi) then scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page. Look at the left bottom corner. You will see this: Total members: current number of membersNewest member: name of memberYour Instant Messages: 0 New: 0 Those numbers will change as you start receiving messages. First number represents the total number of your PMs and the second number stands for unread PMs Once you go to your inbox you will see: NEW MESSAGE -- DELETE ALL -- MARK AS READ -- OUTBOX -- BACKUP MESSAGES -- PREFERANCES If you go to preferances you can set the following: BLOCK USERS: write their usernames NOTIFICATION: First y/n box is if you wish to have an e-mail sent to the address you provided in your account every time you get a PM. Put yes if you would like that. Second y/n box is if you wish an alert window to pop up each time you get a PM. This might be useful if you are forgetful and think you'd forget to check your messages. Then each time you recieve a message a window will pop up and as you whether you want to read it or not (ok if you do, cancel if you don't). Warning: A pop-up will come immediately after the PM is received and it might bother some people because it will interrupt them as the page loads. I hope this was helpful
