Constant Static-A New Found Glory
Yeah I'm on the verge of something good It's been up my sleeve this whole time, waiting
Yeah I'm not the condescending type, I'm just a boy turned man completely overnight Now I
I can't relate to your constant static Your lack of remorse is cause for panic No I can't relate, I never did The worst thing was when I let you in I let you in
Yeah You might take a second look It's just a game we play And we all hesitate
Yeah My Outlook isn't good But at least I can say I wake up happy Every day Every day
I can't relate to your constant static Your lack of remorse is cause for panic No, I can't relay , I never did The worst thing was when I let you in I let you in
No This is the bad translation of dictionarys I keep in my head, I live my life in cycles and rough sketches that I keep hidden and locked away
I can't relate to your constant static Your lack of remorse is cause for panic No, I can't relay , I never did The worst thing was when I let you in I let you in

Logic of A Friend-Badly Drawn Boy
There's a feast, well prepared, at the table, And a beast, licking holes, in your door, Make a break just as soon as your able, To run, get out of this hole, before it takes your soul
I don't know how to hide, Keep my shadow alive, It's easy to defend, The logic of a friend And i don't know how to tell, is it heaven or hell That i'll be going to Just as long as i'm there with you.
Theres a clock Ticking slow, on the table As the light, finds the cracks in your door Make a break just as soon as your able To run, hold on to your soul, before it take you whole
I don't know how to hide, Keep my shadow alive, It's easy to defend, The logic of a friend And i don't know how to tell, if it's heaven or hell That i'll be going to Just as long as i'm there with you.

The Cure - Lullaby
On candystripe legs spiderman comes Softly through the shadow of the evening sun Stealing past the windows of the blissfully dead Looking for the victim shivering in bed Searching out fear in the gathering gloom and Suddenly! a movement in the corner of the Room! and there is nothing i can do when i Realise with freight that the spiderman is having Me for dinner tonight Quietly he laughs and shaking his head creeps Closer now closer to the foot of the bed and Softer than shadow and quicker than flies his Arms are all around me and his tongue in my Eyes "be still be calm be quiet now my precious Boy don't struggle like that or i will only love You more for it's much too late to get away or Turn on the light the spiderman is having you For dinner tonight"
And i feel like i'm being eaten by a thousand Million shivering furry holes and i know that in The morning i will wake up in the shivering cold And the spiderman is always hungry...
(god I looove this song!)

A Boy Named Sue-Johnny Cash
G My daddy left home when I was three C And he didn't leave much to Ma and me D G Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze. G Now, I don't blame him cause he run and hid C But the meanest thing that he ever did D G Was before he left, he went and named me 'Sue.'
Well, he must o' thought that is was quite a joke And it got a lot of laughs from a' lots of folk, It seems I had to fight my whole life through. Some gal would giggle and I'd get red And some guy'd laugh and I'd bust his head, I tell ya, life ain't easy for a boy named 'Sue.'
Well, I grew up quick and I grew up mean, My fist got hard and my wits got keen, I'd roam from town to town to hide my shame. But I made me a vow to the moon and stars That I'd search the honky-tonks and bars And kill that man that give me that awful name.
Well, it was Gatlinburg in mid-July And I just hit town and my throat was dry, I thought I'd stop and have myself a brew. At an old saloon on a street of mud, There at a table, dealing stud, Sat the dirty, mangy dog that named me 'Sue.'
Well, I knew that snake was my own sweet dad >From a worn-out picture that my mother'd had, And I knew that scar on his cheek and his evil eye. He was big and bent and gray and old, And I looked at him and my blood ran cold And I said: "My name is 'Sue!' how do you do! Now you gonna die!"
Well, I hit him hard right between the eyes And he went down but, to my surprise, He come up with a knife and cut off a piece of my ear. But I busted a chair right across his teeth And we crashed through the wall and into the street Kicking and a' gouging in the mud and the blood and the beer.
I tell ya, I've fought tougher men But I really can't remember when, He kicked like a mule and he bit like a crocodile. I heard him laugh and then I heard him cuss, He went for his gun and I pulled mine first, He stood there lookin' at me and I saw him smile.
And he said: "Son, this world is rough And if a man's gonna make it, he's gotta be tough And I know I wouldn't be there to help ya along. So I give ya that name and I said good-bye I knew you'd have to get tough or die And it's that name that helped to make you strong."
He said: 'Now you just fought one hell of a fight And I know you hate me, and you got the right To kill me now, and I wouldn't blame you if you do. But ya ought to thank me, before I die, For the gravel in ya guts and the spit in ya eye Cause I'm the son-of-a-bitch that named you 'Sue'.'
I got all choked up and I threw down my gun And I called him my pa, and he called me his son, And I come away with a different point of view. And I think about him, now and then, Every time I try and every time I win, And if I ever have a son, I think I'm gonna name him Bill or George! Anything but sue! I still hate that name!

Helena-My Chemical Romance
Long ago Just like the hearse you die to get in again We are so far from you
Burning on just like a match you strike to incinerate The lives of everyone you know And what's the worst you take (worst you take) from every heart you break (heart you break) And like the blade you stain (blade you stain) Well I've been holding on tonight
[Chorus] What's the worst that I can say? Things are better if I stay So long and goodnight So long and goodnight
Came a time When every star fall brought you to tears again We are the very hurt you sold And what's the worst you take (worst you take) from every heart you break (heart you break) And like the blade you stain (blade you stain) Well I've been holding on tonight
[Chorus] What's the worst that I can say? Things are better if I stay So long and goodnight So long and goodnight And if you carry on this way Things are better if I stay So long and goodnight So long and goodnight
Can you hear me? Are you near me? Can we pretend to leave and then We'll meet again When both our cars collide?
[Chorus] What's the worst that I can say? Things are better if I stay So long and goodnight So long and goodnight And if you carry on this way Things are better if I stay So long and goodnight So long and goodnight

Paint It Black- The Rolling Stones
I see a red door and I want it painted black No colors anymore I want them to turn black I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars and they're all painted black With flowers and my love, both never to come back I see people turn their heads and quickly look away Like a newborn baby it just happens ev'ryday
I look inside myself and see my heart is black I see my red door and it has been painted black Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black
No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue I could not forsee this thing happening to you If I look hard enough into the setting sun My love will laugh with me before the morning comes
I see a red door and I want it painted black No colors anymore I want them to turn black I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
Hmm, hmm, hmm...
I wanna see it painted black, painted black Black as night, black as coal I wanna see the sun, blotted out from the sky I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black Yeah

Break On Through- The Doors
You know the day destroys the night Night divides the day Tried to run Tried to hide Break on through to the other side Break on through to the other side Break on through to the other side, yeah We chased our pleasures here Dug our treasures there But can you still recall The time we cried Break on through to the other side Break on through to the other side Yeah! C'mon, yeah Everybody loves my baby Everybody loves my baby She get She get She get She get high I found an island in your arms Country in your eyes Arms that chain us Eyes that lie Break on through to the other side Break on through to the other side Break on through, oww! Oh, yeah! Made the scene Week to week Day to day Hour to hour The gate is straight Deep and wide Break on through to the other side Break on through to the other side Break on through X4 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Debris- Asian Dub Foundation
Spread power with words The gold that you stole The pillage and the plunder Is it any wonder that we’re here? It ain’t no mystery The fecting and the shooting That’s the real history We’re only here ’cos you were there Consequences of your global pillage
I never had the feeling to either destroy or conquer
I sift to the debris you left in your wake When you pushed us in to third place When the truth is uncovered and the story’s been told You won’t be able to look me in the face .....
We’re only here ’cos you were there Here in england a global village Consequences of your global pillage
Master d chat it up ....
I sift to the debris you left in your wake When you pushed us in to third place When the truth is uncovered and the story’s been told You won’t be able to look me in the face .....
You treated my mother’s land Just like one big plantation You did this to the african You did this to the asian Famine was caused not by God but taxation The fruits of our labour were used to build your nation Sucking us dry - our country’s natural juice
Yes our underdevelopment was caused by your abuse.
Gonna check the missing pages We’ll be adding up the numbers We’ll be looking for witnesses so they can tell our brothers We’ll be using the technology Jammin’ with it consciously We are gonna spread power with words.

King Missile-Detachable P***s
I woke up this morning with a bad hangover And my p***s was missing again. This happens all the time. It's detachable. [background singing begins: "detachable p***s" over and over] This comes in handy a lot of the time. I can leave it home, when I think it's gonna get me in trouble, or I can rent it out, when I don't need it. But now and then I go to a party, get drunk, and the next morning I can't for the life of me remember what I did with it. First I looked around my apartment, and I couldn't find it. So I called up the place where the party was, they hadn't seen it either. I asked them to check the medicine cabinet 'cause for some reason I leave it there sometimes But not this time. So I told them if it pops up to let me know. I called a few people who were at the party, but they were no help either. I was starting to get desperate. I really don't like being without my p***s for too long. It makes me feel like less of a man, and I really hate having to sit down every time I take a leak. After a few hours of searching the house, and calling everyone I could think of, I was starting to get very depressed, so I went to the Kiev, and ate breakfast. Then, as I walked down Second Avenue towards St. Mark's Place, where all those people sell used books and other junk on the street, I saw my p***s lying on a blanket next to a broken toaster oven. Some guy was selling it. I had to buy it off him. He wanted twenty-two bucks, but I talked him down to seventeen. I took it home, washed it off, and put it back on. I was happy again. Complete. People sometimes tell me I should get it permanently attached, but I don't know. Even though sometimes it's a pain in the a**, I like having a detachable p***s. [background voices continue to sing "detachable p***s" for a while, then out]

Walk Like An Egyptian- Bangles
All the old paintings on the tombs They do the sand dance, dont you know If they move too quick (oh whey oh) They're falling down like a domino.
All the bazaar men by the Nile They got their money on a bet Gold crocodiles (oh whey oh) They snap their teeth on your cigarette.
Foreign types with the hookah pipes say: Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh Walk like an Egyptian.
The blonde waitresses take their trays They spin around and they cross the floor They've got the moves (oh whey oh) You drop your drink, then they bring you more.
All the school kids so sick of books They like the punk and the metal band When the buzzer rings (oh whey oh) They're walking like an Egyptian.
All the kids in the market place say: Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh Walk like an Egyptian.
Slide your feet up the street, bend your back Shift your arm, then you pull it back Life is hard, you know (oh whey oh) So strike a pose on a Cadillac.
If you want to find all the cops They're hanging out in the donut shop They sing and dance (oh whey oh) Spin the clubs, cruise down the block.
All the Japanese with their yen The party boys call the Kremlin And the Chinese know (oh whey oh) They walk the line like Egyptian.
All the cops in the donut shop say: Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh Walk like an Egyptian Walk like an Egyptian.

Knockin On Heavens Door- Sandy Denny (and a bunch of others)
Mama, take this badge off of me I can't use it anymore. It's gettin' dark, too dark for me to see I feel like I'm knockin' on heaven's door.
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Mama, put my guns in the ground I can't shoot them anymore. That long black cloud is comin' down I feel like I'm knockin' on heaven's door.
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
